Eight arms. One brain. Meet octo.taxi

Your LMS is one arm, HR core another, surveys and performance tools a third and a fourth. And the brain? Usually an Excel export from last Tuesday. So we built the brain.

Happy World Octopus Day! Did you know that an octopus keeps most of its brain in its arms? About two thirds of its neurons sit there. Every arm thinks for itself – and one brain keeps them all together.

Now look at your HR and L&D data. Your LMS is one arm. HR core another. Engagement surveys and performance tools – a third, a fourth. And the brain? Usually an Excel export from last Tuesday.

So we built the brain. Meet octo.taxi – your HR data, from A to B, in style.

What octo.taxi is

octo.taxi connects to the systems your people data already lives in and brings it together in one place. We start where we know every pothole: Cornerstone OnDemand, deeply connected. More connectors follow on request, built for the clients who need them. Each source is one more arm on the same brain.

Your data stays in sync in near-real-time, and octo.taxi only pulls what changed. It respects your Cornerstone API budget: when the portal says "too many requests", octo.taxi pauses instead of pushing harder, so your other integrations keep working.

What you get on top is the part we care about most: a place where that data is a pleasure to work with.

The ride, stop by stop

Every day starts with one page. Your day is the morning briefing: what changed overnight, what's due, and who needs a nudge. Every number links to its detail.

A taximeter on every page. Up in the corner, it tells you exactly how fresh the data on your screen is – and if Cornerstone itself has an incident, it says so too.

Dashboards you make your own. Ready-made dashboards cover the questions HR gets asked every week. Need your own version? Copy to edit, then add and move your tiles around.

Plain language in, chart out. Type a question into the search – "Which countries have the most overdue mandatory training?" – and Ask octo answers with a card: a number, a comparison or a ranking. The AI never writes SQL and never invents a number: it turns your question into a plan, and octo.taxi's own queries do the math. Groups smaller than five people stay hidden.

Present in two clicks. When a dashboard has to go in front of leadership, it becomes a full-screen slide deck in your corporate design.

A search that finds anything. People, trainings, people's overdue trainings. It also calculates, converts and helps you plan a meeting with colleagues overseas.

Alerts on any KPI. Put an alert on a figure, and when the number moves, octo.taxi taps you on the shoulder – in the app or by email.

Your organization at a glance. Move around the org chart with your mouse or your keyboard, up and down the hierarchy.

The training catalog, done in seconds. Remember that catalog deck nobody wants to update? Pick an audience, subject and language, hit Generate – and seconds later there is a branded PDF to share: one card per training, with a "Data as of" stamp.

Dressed in your brand. Paste your website, and octo.taxi picks up your colors, logo and fonts. You preview them in light and dark mode and only change what you tick.

Where your data lives

The database, its backups and the sync engine run in AWS Frankfurt (eu-central-1). The AI runs on Amazon Bedrock in Frankfurt too. Fonts come from our own servers, never from a third-party font service. And the interface speaks eleven languages.

The honest bit

octo.taxi doesn't make Cornerstone's limits disappear. The reporting warehouse behind the Data Exporter API still has its lag, and the API budget is still shared. What changes is who carries it: instead of an analyst re-running exports and a developer babysitting a script, octo.taxi does the work around the clock, shows you how fresh the result is, and stays out of your portal's way.
